Inflatable Testing

Norfolk Inflatables are registered with the RPII (Register of Play Inspector International) as Inflatable annual inspectors. We are also registered as an Inspection Body with PIPA (Pertexa Inflatable Play Accreditation) Scheme, which one of only two currently supported  Inspection schemes by the Health & Safety Executive, the other being ADIPS (The Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme).

We are also a RPII Accredited Examination Centre allowing us to provide the required training and examinations for attendants and operators of Inflatable Play Equipment. Please contact us to discuss the services we can offer.

At Norfolk Inflatables our inspectors have been RPII trained, and been required to take both written and practical exams to provide evidence of a comprehensive understanding of EN14960. We are able to carry out Bouncy Castle PIPA testing and inspection on all inflatable play equipment covered by EN14960, for items of inflatable play equipment that falls outside the scope of EN14960 Norfolk Inflatable's can still inspect the inflatable and issue an in-house safety certificate of compliance.

What is does the testing involve?

All the inflatables we certify will undergo a variety of tests including, but not limited to, checking seams and stitching, suitability of & correct number of anchor points, internal pressure, blower distance, points of entrapment and assessing any risks involved in the use of the inflatable.

Is testing LAW?

To enable yourself to comply with the law, it is the responsibility of the operator/s to ensure that any equipment is inspected by a competent person, as set out by The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, at regular intervals of once a year.

The way to ensure this requirement is met is to have all inflatable play equipment tested to EN14960 by a RPII Inspector and where suitable a PIPA Report Issued.

Do you check Blowers / Fans with a test?

Yes included as part of the testing procedure we inspect any accessories used with the inflatable play equipment, this would include a blower or fan for the item. We also PAT Test the blower along with any supplying power lead.

What does testing cost?

Cost of testing varies depending on location, size of items and the number of items being tested.

If your inflatable hasn't previously been PIPA tagged then this would be an additional cost for the supplying and fixing of the PIPA Tag to the item.

Although we are situated in Norwich we offer our mobile PIPA & RPII testing services throughout the whole of the UK, please don't hesitate to contact us with your requirements for a quotation.
